About RJ

Hey. My name is Ryan. Many of my friends refer to me as RJ. I started this blog as a long overdue project which will allow me to write. I need to write. I need a place that forces me to write well. If others will read it that’s a pretty good motivator. It’s how I best express myself. I am currently teaching in Copeland, Kansas.

Let me tell you a bit about me. I am twenty-two years old and I live in Kansas. I have five siblings: Tony, Jared, Kendra, Darren, and Travis. I am the second oldest. I love listening to good music, reading good books, and drinking a good, strong cup of coffee. Being with friends while I enjoy any of those things is a big plus.

I am a sanguine melancholy, in that order–which is strange because I love being with people, but wish I was reclusive enough to read and write more. (odd) I have been known to stick around at events because I am afraid something crazy or fun will happen and I won’t be in on it.

I mainly play two sports: basketball and volleyball–and love them both. My older brother Tony raised me as a Jayhawks fan from an early age so I’ve known nothing else. Why would I want to?

A year ago I started playing guitar (I now have two of them) and have fallen in love with it. It is therapy after work. My Dad always liked music so I also loved singing from an early age. I love singing in choirs, in my car, or anywhere else.

Political? I don’t mess with it much. I think it’s very fascinating but very dirty. I have my opinions, but I am a very firm believer in the fact that “I don’t belong here,” and that “I pledge allegiance to a country without borders, without politicians. ” as Jon Foreman of the band Switchfoot, wrote in the songs The Beautiful Letdown and Politicians, respectively.

What else? I love Jesus. I’ve let Him down a lot of times but He hasn’t done that to me yet. As others have said, I don’t understand Him but that doesn’t keep me from trying. He saved me from my sins and for that, I will serve him as best I can.

Your site is great! I would like to see whether you’d be open for guest contributions. I am looking to write about something related to God and thought that the topics I had in mind may go well with your blog.

I was thinking about the following subjects
1.Things that will make you closer to God
2.5 Tips to become a healthy person spiritually

What do you think about these? If you’re interested, I am happy to get something written up and sent over to you – or if you have another topic you’d like to see covered, I am more than happy to create a custom article of your choice.

*** Our articles are custom written by our writers for your blog and are absolutely FREE. ***

Thanks and I look forward to your response.

I appreciate the offer, and my answer is thanks, but no thanks. I have no doubt that your posts are worthwhile, but the purpose of my blog is more of an outlet for what I personally am experiencing, not necessarily a spiritual self help blog if you will. If people benefit and learn from the things I post, that’s great. But offering help and advice is not really the point of it. Thank you again for you generous offer, though and best wishes.
